Snow is on it's way!

Peyton loves to run in Parker's room in the mornings when he hears him getting up. I left a box on the floor the night before near the side of the crib and Peyton had used that as a stepping block to get in the crib with Parker. This is what I found when I walked in the room. I guess I need to go move that box.

My Mom babysat yesterday afternoon. Peyton was still napping when I got back but Parker was up and playing. Thanks Mom for watching the boys.
We are getting snow today!!! The news is reporting we should have 3-5 inches before tonight. It's already starting to fall. Schools all over NWA are out so Josh is with us today. It's always nice to have a surprise day with Josh at home. He did have to get out this morning b/cs he already had a planned meeting over breakfast in Rogers at 7am so we were still up early around here. He's picking Peyton and I up chicken biscuits from Chick-fil-a on his way home. Yum. We are moving right along on our new house. We are going to move very soon and I have got to start packing. Yesterday I had fun while meeting with some decorators about where to place the new furniture I picked out at Bassett. When Josh get home in a little while we are going to go order some of it b/cs they are having a 25% off sale today. Hopefully the roads won't get to bad till after we are done with that. Check back later for some snow pictures.

Parker's first cereal

Peyton is always wanting Parker to eat with us. I have to explain to him that Parker's isn't big enough yet. Well, tonight we fed Parker his first cereal. Peyton was so excited and wanted to help. Parker loved it. He ate the first bowl so fast I had to make a second one. I can't believe in only three weeks he will be six months old. It seems just like yesterday I was holding my little newborn baby for the first time. Here are some pictures from today of our growing boys.

Parker is beginning to love the bumbo seat.

Peyton's new electric toothbrush that he loves.
(It was taken with Josh's phone so it's a little blurry.)

Yummy, give me more Mommy.

Mmmm...

All done! Peyton wiping Parker's face.

California, rolling over, and house!

This past week Josh and I went to California. It turned out to be so much fun! I have to admit I had mixed emotions about going on this trip. I wanted to go with Josh but was also sad about leaving the boys. This was the longest I had been gone from Peyton and was the first time to leave Parker over night. However, I have to say, I enjoyed every minute of being "away!" I was so happy to be out there. Josh and I had a blast! It was wonderful for us both to get away after a football season and to get to spend some time together without our kiddos. It was great also because the boys were in the wonderful hands of our parents which made me not worry about them. The reason we went was for a coaching clinic out in Orange County, CA that Josh goes to every year. So I got to go along with him this year. The clinic has a few stuff for the wives to do while the guys are meeting. We went with another Shiloh coach and his wife which made it fun. They are some of our wondeful friends here in NWA and have been on staff together the past four years. One day, while the guys were working McKale and I drove around Beverly Hills and Hollywood. I had never been so it was so neat to see everything. We ate lunch at the Ivey in Beverly Hills which is where we are told the stars hang out all the time. We of course never saw any. The food was still really good and it had wondeful shops next to it. Josh and Tucker did see a guy from CSI Miami in our hotel lobby one day. We also went to Universal Studios and went to downtown Disneyland a couple of times since we were staying right across the street from it. One night we ate dinner on Luguna beach with a wondeful view. The trip was just so much fun. I already miss it and really want to go back! I even told Josh on our flight home, I would love to live out there someday. He just laughed. The weather really is perfect where we were. You can go 30 miles north and see snow or go 30 miles south and have warm weather on the beach. Where else is that possible?
Another note, Parker did learn to finally roll over while we were gone! I hate I missed it but the grandparents did happen to catch it on video. He is constantly doing it now and gets frustrated since he hasn't figured out how to flip himself back over the other way. I'm hoping that happens soon. Also, we have a contract on our house! It's been on the market since fall. When we got back in town we actually had 2 offers presented to us at the same time. Our closing date is at the end of February so we are now trying to decide which house we are going to move into or build. We already know the neighborhood we will move into. We are meeting with our builder on Monday to hopefully figure things out. So I guess I am going to be busy packing up our house for the next month.
Here are just a few of the many pictures we took from our vactation.

Our Christmas break

This year our Christmas break started out pretty eventfully as you read in our last post. Even after that we continued to get sick. Josh got the stomach bug (again) and I had it also. Peyton got the croup and had to be put on a steriod which made him have plenty of energy and not want to sleep much. Parker now has RSV. He is on an inhaler which is making him better but still showing slow improvement. If he's not much better by Monday then he has to be put on a steriod inhaler that he will have to stay on through April. Pray that doesn't happen. Hopefully we got all our sicknesses done with for a long time! Christmas Eve and Christmas morning were a lot of fun. God blessed us with those being the only two days in the last three weeks that one of us wasn't sick. (I'm trying to look at the positive side, can't you tell?) This Christmas Nick, Meredith, and Reese joined us. We had a blast with them! Peyton loves being around them. Christmas Eve we opened presents with Josh's parents and N, M & R. Then on Christmas morning we opened Santa presents at our house and then went to do presents with my family for lunch. We are blessed with great families and love spending time with them. Above are some pictures from the kids and their new Christmas toys. Peyton loved it this year. It was fun seeing the excitment on his face opening all of his (and Parker's) presents!
